Each Us Dolls work juxtaposes the human tendency of giving life to inanimate objects with the social issues derived from treating persons like toys, as if they had no feelings, opinions, or rights of their own. For these series, Claudia Maysen created two- and three-dimensional pieces employing materials such as steel, wood, fabric, acrylics, found objects, paper and porcelain.
